
A Little About the Foundation...
Helping over 300 children and their families cope and provide for their family each year, the Children's Cancer Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to assisting families with children suffering from cancer or other life shortening illnesses.
Parents of children with cancer are often young, have limited income, and have other children living in the same household. When a child is diagnosed with cancer or other types of life chortening illnesses, typically one of the parents has to leave their career to provide additional physical, emotional, and medical assistance to their at-need child. This often causes extreme financial hardships upon the entire family. The transportation costs alone are often enough to criple a family's financial well-being. The Children's Cancer Foundation is dedicated to assisting families provide basic necesities to assist in getting past the difficult times ahead of them. By providing basic funds for transportation, utility bills, food and shelter costs, in addition to help with medical expenses, families are able to focus on what is of utmost importance; the health af their child.
It is very important that all families facing a childhood cancer diagnosis have accurate information to their child's diseases, treatment, and late affects. Families must provide more care themselves in days of short hospital stays. Although the cure rate has jumped in the last 30 years from a meager 10% to today's survival rate of nearly 70%, childhood cancer remains the number one disease killer of children under the age of fifteen.

Providing "Rainbow Parties" for cancer patients at the end of chemotherapy for every child sponsored. Setting up activites, entertainment and catering either in the hospital or outpatient facilities for these children provides a guiding light and a sense of hope to help them on their journey through the rest of their life.

Provides financial assistance and absorbs the cost of prescription drugs, medical bills and antibiotics for siblings of the child.

Organizes and caters a "Prom Night" for highschool students who missed their prom due to chemotherapy and other illness-related absences.
